Let Go

Anna from Supernatural.
I didn’t intend to draw her at first but she just sort of took over… This literally was supposed to go a completely different direction, but once I’d started, I couldn’t stop.

Here’s a little ficlet to go with it:


“Let go, Anna,” a voice rang out. It was familiar to the angel, but she couldn’t quite remember whose it was. It wasn’t that of her father, nor of any of her siblings. She focused as the voice repeated itself and realized it was her. Not the her of now, the version of her that had been born human before she had returned her Grace to her body. As if automatically, her right hand went to cover the left side of her rib cage, right above her heart.

“Let go.”

“I… shouldn’t.”

“And since when has that ever stopped you? Let go… Come back to me.” Her eyes unfocused as she plunged a hand into her chest, removing her Grace and watching as it lit up the area and left a gaping black hole. She stared at the Grace, feeling a mixture of freedom and sorrow. Her wings sprang out as if in protest as her Grace floated in her hand.

“Let go.” And she did.



So between the two days, I’d say it took 7 hrs or so? I’m not too certain since I didn’t keep track at all. Anyway, enjoy.
